Hi there!

I'm Ashley hudson, an authentic therapist, coach and educator who is  here to support you on your journey.

I am a wife, a mother of two adorable children, and the owner of one mischevious dog. I love Jesus, exercising, wine and dark chocolate. I believe life is sacred and that everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy and grow through the various seasons of life, even the hard ones.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Perinatal Mental Health Specialist and Certified Sex Therapist. I specialize in trauma, psychosexual health, emotional-spiritual integration and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

As a survivor of postpartum depression, I feel passionate about serving individuals through compassionate psychotherapy and education. I consider it a great honor to walk alongside individuals on their journey.

I have had the opportunity to study under well-known author, Karen Kleiman, and have completed the advanced clinical training program provided through the Postpartum Stress Center. I have also taken all of the trainings provided through Postpartum Support International (PSI). Additionally, I have graduated from Gottman level I and II training programs. Most recently, I completed my PhD in Clinical Sexology. My research focused on the resiliency factors associated with sexually satisfied postpartum women who engaged the purity culture movement.

As a Christian, I appreciate the opportunity to incorporate Biblical principles and prayer in my work, but I respect the process of each of my clients and will honor any person’s preference to refrain from incorporating faith or spirituality in our work together.

THERAPY VS. COACHING

WHAT IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Both therapy and coaching support growth, healing, and change—but they serve different purposes and follow different guidelines.

Therapy is a clinical service designed to help clients heal from emotional wounds, process trauma, and manage mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, or relational distress. It is often reflective and insight-oriented, exploring the “why” behind patterns, emotions, and behaviors. Therapy is provided by a licensed mental health professional and is regulated by state laws, ethics, and confidentiality standards.

Coaching, on the other hand, is a forward-focused and action-oriented process designed to help clients move toward specific goals, increase confidence, and create meaningful change in their lives, relationships, or careers. Coaching assumes emotional stability and focuses on growth rather than clinical treatment. It is about helping clients clarify their values, identify obstacles, and develop strategies to live with more purpose, pleasure, and alignment.

In short:

Therapy helps you heal from the past. Only those residing in CO, TX or NC qualify for therapy with Pearl in Process.

Coaching helps you build your future. All individuals, despite location, can enter into a coaching relationship with Pearl in Process.

Both services can be powerful spaces for transformation—just in different ways.

“Ashley is an extremely empathetic, insightful and sensitive counselor who is able to readily see the underlying emotions of an issue and addresses the issues with respect and kindness. During my sessions with Ashley I got the very deep sense that she genuinely cared about my well being and the situations that I was going through. Ashley made me feel like I had someone in my corner rooting for me and that felt amazing. I would recommend Ashley to anyone who is looking for a faith based counselor.”
